Expanding Your Influence
Being able to influence others is key to achieving change. When you can see clearly who you already have on board and who you need to get on board you can work out how to influence them.
Think about who you need to influence. Draw a large circle and place them inside - individuals or organisations. The closer to the centre of the circle, the more important they are for your project. A steering committee member might be very close to the centre, your local MP towards the edges or outside of it. Think about who is important for your project but is not in your circle of influence – write their names outside the circle. Do you know anyone who knows them?
